  1. That is freaking amazing. Snap 675 + the same camera as Mi9 + USB-C + 4k battery + IR blaster + Headphone Jack + Pie out of the box at less than $200 ? They killed any conceivable competition for this year, I’m freaking sold.

  2. Godamnit. Mi 9 has NFC, no headphone jack. The Note 7s have headphone jack, and no NFC.

And yes, I I live in a country where NFC payments are super handy.

  3. Snapdragon 675 is very close to 845 in terms of CPU performance. This is excellent value, getting one for my mom (and flashing [xiaomi.eu](https://xiaomi.eu) ROM for no ads).

Edit: I meant single-threaded performance, which is more important than multi-core. Though this is no slouch in multi-core as well.

  4. This is really great value. However I don’t see a reason for spending ~220€ on this device other than the IR blaster a teardrop notch when the Pocophone F1 with S845, UFS 2.1 and better camera only costs 250€.

Btw, the article is wrong. The regular non-pro Redmi Note 7 doesn’t have a Sony sensor. The sensor specs are similar but it’s a cheaper one made by Samsung that hardly beats the older Redmi Note 5&6.
