Pixel 4 mockup suggests punch-hole display, two main cameras for Google’s next flagship

Edit : Voici [another render]( : grand)

  1. I really hope this is what it looks like, or close to it. My main gripes though are removing the fingerprint sensor on the back. Under the screen just isn’t as fast as you miss out on swiping on it. Also it better have a minimum of 6GB of ram, but hoping for 8

  2. I don’t buy it. We know Google is adding support to android for advanced facial sensors (XDA). The pixel 4 will almost certainly feature this. That render has cameras only. No room for the other sensors. Also, why ditch the rear fingerprint sensor? In-screen readers suck.

Hope we get the multiple rear cameras though.

  3. as someone said, u cant fit 4 cameras all on the right side of the phone.

if they can manage that screen ratio and get dual front facing speakers; freaking sweet!

  4. Design wise Google has yet to set a single trend. They are always one step behind. By the time this is released there will be new solutions and trends in place and although this looks good now. By November it will look dated. Just like the pixel 3 does now. Last year’s solutions to this year’s problems. Their product design lifecycle is too long.

  5. Wow. If these really are accurate, a bump up in the base RAM and storage will be all I need to switch back to Pixel this year. Something tells me they won’t be able make the top and bottom bezels that small though.

  6. Really disappointed to see that they’re potentially removing the fingerprint reader from the back & putting it under the display.

Am I the only one who prefers it on the back? It’s just in such a natural, nice place. It’s also nice & quick.

  7. ITT people saying the punchhole is big, but it’s about the same size as the S10 from the original sketch. Also dismissing that the status bar of the S10 is the same size as the Pixel 3 XL

  8. I am skeptical about the design as Pixel4 will probably have face id. Android Q has support for faceId. How would this design with punch hole will do true face id

  9. If the Pixels and Galaxies cost the same as the iPhone Xs why don’t they use the same Face ID technology ? Or is a fingerprint scanner on the screen a better design?

  10. I’m not yet sold on in display fingerprint readers.

What exactly is the point other than « Itz Cool »

In display selfie cameras actually, have utility. This… This is just technology for the sake of technology…

  11. Can someone explain why they want a finger print scanner in the screen? I see no use for it, the back button is perfect on my pixel 2 XL and the new samsung 10e power button looks to be the best of all. I truly do not understand the need for a finger print scanner within the screen.
