Small phone lovers rejoice

  1. Been saying ever since the S8 i just want a slim bezel 5″ 16:9 phone. Real shame that with shrinking bezels we went to 18:9 and taller displays. i don’t want a bigger display in the same footprint, i want the same size display in a smaller footprint. My perfect phone would be a pixel 2 with slim bezels, preferably a thicker bottom (makes one handed use and gestures easier to use) and little strip on the top just big enough to house the speaker, camera, and proximity sensor.

Unfortunately the industry trends are going in directions i don’t really care for. Stretched out displays, holes in the screen, slippery glass backs, and in display FP sensors all have no appeal to me. Hopefully the 2020 iphone SE can help push android OEMs to make a budget compact flagship with less of the current trends.

  2. >Small Phone
    >5.42″ screen

That’s not how that works, that’s a big ass phone mate.

I would stand in line on launch day to buy it though like I did the SE and S10e, but I already know its not coming.

Edit: since op added in dimensions, **[look here for real life dimensions.](https://imgur.com/a/IHk9PZA)**

This would be bigger than the iPhone 6/6s/7/8, not SE sized. A welcome sized phone vs the iPhone X/XS though!

  3. So I’m supposed to keep my SE till October 2020? Hell no.

I’ll get a device (Android if cheap SE^2 doesn’t come out) end of this year.. and keep that for 2 years.

  4. This is what annoys me about android oems. If you want a phone with a quality camera and decent internal spec, you are forced to buy a phone with a massive screen. Apple nailed it with the iPhone SE (it pains me to say that as a long term android fan, but it’s true)

  5. Perfect, now I have the perfect sized phone for my actual infant child.

J.K, I know a bunch of people like having reasonably sized phones that allow for total reachability. I get it.

I thinkthere should be two sections of sizes, one being « tiny and reachable » (like < 5″) and the other being « ill definitely neex twohands for this » (like > 6″)

  6. April fool’s? I didn’t think any company develops a phone more than a year out because of how fast the industry is moving and changing.
