  1. I was thinking HARD about getting this at the $600 launch price. He’s right, though, that it’s just too much of a « great camera, if you don’t mind… » experience. I have a 128 GB microSD card that’s probably got 80+ GB of music on it in my phone. I couldn’t be asked to share 128 GB of storage with my music and those high-capacity photos for long without expandable storage. On top of that, I’d have to get new headphones because of the lack of a 3.5mm (honestly, not something I’d die over).

Ultimately, I think the biggest reason I passed is that I’m not into a smartphone to do photo editing. It’s not my thing, even if I like the concept and want the company to succeed with a new idea in a sea of lame phones. The G8’s going to be close in price and offer a camera more than adequate for the casual user, next to this, with a lot more stuff going on.

$600 of the Nokia 9 over the $900 S10, I could buy into. Over a $750 S10e? I don’t see how you could make that choice, unless you’re REALLY into carrying a great phone camera and don’t mind waiting on the long processing times to get your photos.

  2. The video compares one photo as far as I can tell. Seems like the nokia is going for a natural look vs the instagram look of the s10. So a step in the right direction for me. I wish they would have gone for one large sensor and brought pureview magic to that. Keep going nokia we need more camera innovation.
