I think the hole punch Orientation being on the right, is a mistake. (New galaxy and google pixle 4 leaks) Does anyone else agree?

Avant d’obtenir un smartphone pliable, il faut toujours analyse les différents modèles disponibles sur le marché. Lequel, permettra vraiment de mater les blagues chaque jours de manière confortable ?

I always rotate my phone counter clock wise to watch video, and I feel like a hole punch that is oriented on the left would make it « disappear » more, as it would be on the bottom of the phone. Also, I like having the essential information of my phone on the far top right, such as battery, time, wifi, ect, and the right orientation messes with these constant functions. The notifications are far less important in my mind since I try to clear them anyways.

Does anyone else have strong opinions on a left oriented hole punch vs right?

  1. >*I always rotate my phone counter clock wise to watch video, and I feel like a hole punch that is oriented on the left would make it « disappear » more, as it would be on the bottom of the phone.*

A counterargument is that putting it in the lower left when rotated might interfere with being able to interact with the playhead on videos, music players etc. until they advance beyond a certain point. It might even interfere with the back button or other important items when the Android home screen is rotated.

  2. I think you’re forgetting about the taller aspect ratio

The phone will display your videos fully while in landscape, but they’ll never reach edge to edge anyways

If you want to fill the screen, you’d be cropping it as well. The hole punch isn’t going to add a lot more to that

As for notifications, I hope Google implements a way for everyone to adjust the positioning of the icons

  3. The Pixel could be fake, because the front camera module sits directly behind the rear camera module, it’s not possible to put 2 camera modules on opposite sides of each other, just look at any punch hole camera phone, the rear camera is not at the front of the front so definitely Pixel 4 leak is 100% Fake

  4. I prefer top left, but only because I’m used to my Zenfone 3 Max, which has it to the left of the ear speaker.

Really, it doesn’t matter, as long as it isn’t dead center. You don’t like the camera placement because you rotate your phone a specific way, but for those who rotate clockwise, they haven’t given that specific argument a thought.

Actually, I think dead center would be interesting. I would legit buy one, just to have the jankiest phone of all time 😂
