  1. I’ve been using this gesture in One Hand Operation+ by Samsung, this gesture is the most comfortable. gestures from below are not so much, mainly for use with one hand, because the thumb is on the side, not below.

  2. I like having the options but at the end it should all be user choice for which navigation you use. I think the gestures are cool but having to teach my parents if this becomes mainstay vs « just tap this button » that is always in the same spot sounds awful.

  3. this is literally the best way to implement back button. Very comfortable and fast. At the moment i use fluid navigation gestures just for this.

  4. In an OS with tons of navigation drawers all over, this seems like the worst back button implementation.

I can’t stand it when I’m using emui.

  5. Cool, I’ve been using this for long time now(edge gestures app), I never understood why navigation bar has always been on the lowest part of the screen, I, at very least cant reach bottom and top of the screen on phones with larger screen than 4,6″, and now that every phone has ridiculously tall screens its literally impossible.

  6. YES PLEASE

I’ve trialled a whole variety of gesture navigations and swipe-from-the-side is a great way to go back and very easy and intuitive. If there are any pull-out menus just make sure you swipe a bit higher up.

  7. This swipe back gesture is almost the same with the one of Huawei gesture navigation but according to a reviewer, the gesture isn’t so great because on some apps, the swipe to right gesture means to pull the menu out so it doesn’t always work.

  8. Don’t bother Google I already use an app called Vivid Gesture that allows me to do this and I’m happy with it. I know you will mess it up somehow even if you do implement this.
