  1. Apparently, the new April update improved HDR performance on Exynos variants according to users on r/galaxys10. Samsung even said they improved their HDR performance in the changelog.

  2. I wanted an S10e so bad, and I was so close to buying it. Finding that UK only has Exynos made me so sad and actually is enough to make me not buy it.

I’m waiting to see what Pixel 3a turns out to be, if it’s not what I’m looking for then I’ll have to buy an S10e on ebay from the US and forgo the warranty.

  3. Very hard to explain why.

This difference can not be caused by the hardware/sensors if the two phones share the same hardware. Can not be caused by software unless Samsung does things differently on Exynos models. The most possible difference is in GPU especially precisions and numerical bugs when GPU is used to run imaging filters. however that is not going to be anything consistent and noticeable unless there is something fishy.

  4. As the content creator said himself « The difference isn’t that noticeable unless you are pixel peeping » and in the daylight shots, that’s the truth. Both look quite similar and give a similar quality with the only real differences are the colors, but the differences in exposure and contrast for the average user won’t be that noticeable.

Again, if you are using your S10 for work purposes or put some real work in editing your photos then yes, I would agree that the differences in photo quality will be a lot more noticeable, but then again you can buy the Huawei P30 Pro for almost the same price.

What I’m trying to say that I agree that SD version is better, but it the difference isn’t that huge as some people here trying to make it and in real life usage 95% of user won’t feel the difference.

  5. The most drastic difference seems to be with the skin tones but some of this could just be the Exynos version (which is largely just sold in Korea) being more tuned for skin tones it’s more likely to encounter-mostly Asian skin tones. Whereas I’m sure for the export oriented version they would have tuned more for Caucasian skin tones and whatnot so you don’t look like a zombie.

There are some other differences but at least for the skin tones it might just be that it’s tuned for a specific market.

  6. Congrats.

I might be a sour Samsung fanboy, but these comparisons are always a bit useless imo. Its not like we have a choice which one to get, and its not like the exynos-version is a crappy phone because of it.

  7. I’ll just stop buying Samsung phones if they dont fix this BS I’m currently using an s8 but will have an s10 plus today also I will trade s10 plus for a note 10 once it’s out
