  1. I don’t trust most Samsung phone rumors until about 3 months out from release date. That’s when the really accurate rumors start coming out. If I had believed early rumors in past years, then I would have believed the headphone jack was finally removed about 7 times by now.

This rumor especially doesn’t make much sense since the Note line almost always shares a very similar form-factor to that year’s S-line. Why would they suddenly change that trend now?

If this was June and this rumor was out, then I’d give it a lot more weight.

  2. I would hate that. There needs to be some form of physical controls on a device. What happens if it stops responding to touches and the screen is completely off and I need to restart it or boot in safe mode?

  3. If this ends up being true, they’ll probably be similar to the way the iPhone 8/7 home button and the Apple Watch (?) buttons work: physically on the surface, rely on haptics for “feeling”, and done in an attempt to aid waterproofing

  4. I think the biggest surprised would be that the note has major changes vs the S line.

So far the notes have been an S+ from that year with a pen and better specs. A major change like this would happen during a big S line revision.

Because of this, I’d say this is fake / wrong information.

  5. So there is no physical kill switch button for the battery and it will be all digital?

Or has the current button always been digital anyways and I never noticed till now?
