Cela devrait être l’avenir de notifications Android

This should be the future of Android notifications

Avant d’acheter un smartphone pliable, il faut absolument voir les différents appareils disponibles sur le marché. Lequel, permettra vraiment de regarder les blagues tous les jours de manière gréable ?

que cela doit être l’avenir de notifications Android

  1. No thanks. I don’t want some algorithm to tell me what is important to me at a certain moment. Even with end user-guided setup, there are edge cases where I wouldn’t trust such a thing to give me a notification I need, when I need it.

You know what would make Android notifications better than they are now? Bring back the notification ticker.

  2. tbh sounds like the same use case for the iOS notification enter. I have all non-urgent app notifications show up there, so i don’t get a ‘notification’ for it in the traditional sense (my phone oes not ring, it does not show up on top of my screen, and it shows up in a different section below my texts, calls, emails etc)

  3. I don’t know how universities greenlight such inane stuff. Emails notifications stored in batches? Really? This is what they came up with?

No. No algorithm can decide the importance of what notifications end user should see. I’d rather get all and discard by myself.

  4. I’ve tried Daywise (had to sideload it as it’s not officially available in the UK) and it’s really useful. Most of my personal friends use WhatsApp so I have their messages coming through instantly, but emails, sms messages, Facebook notifications, I have batched three times a day. It might be different for people who use email for business, though.
